Welcome to the OSU ZEW website!
The Oklahoma State University Zoo, Exotics, and Wildlife Club is a club for OSU veterinary students interested in non-domestic animal medicine. Our monthly meetings feature lectures from both local and widely-known ZEW veterinarians, and we try to plan at least one wet lab or field trip per semester. Previous club sponsored activities have included speaker Dr. Micah Kohles, fish anesthesia and necropsy wetlabs, tranquilization darting wetlabs, and tours of the Oklahoma City Zoo hospital. The goal of the club is to provide its members with a wide array of exposures and experiences in all aspects of zoo, exotic, and wildlife medicine. We also help to support the Avian, Exotic, and Wildlife ward at the OSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Stillwater, and assist in raising funds for the Wildlife Care Fund.
This site was created to help keep members informed of meeting and activity schedules, as well as to provide resources for further experiences and opportunities in zoo, exotic, and wildlife medicine.
